The most strategic and important move to win in Reversi is placing your pieces in the corners. The more corners you have, the higher your chance of winning. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that whoever captures all four corners wins the game. To place a piece in a corner, you must carefully make the preparatory moves from the first move. While preparatory moves are performed with different techniques for each player, the general approach is to place pieces without overflowing the 16 central squares. After placing pieces in these squares, the most important thing to do to avoid giving away the corners to the opponent is to avoid placing as many pieces as possible on the adjacent squares of the corner squares. The game continues by placing pieces on the squares outside the adjacent squares of the corner squares. Age Group: 6+
